BRENNANS' BOUNTY
Brennans' Bounty is a family band formed by Charlie Brennan in Portage La Prairie, Mb in 2013. The band performs a variety of music, including original songs, country, bluegrass as well as classic rock. Joining Charlie is his wife Mavis Brennan, (vocals, keyboards), his stepson, Ian George (vocals, rhythm guitar), his son Bryce Brennan (drums), and friend Rob Zabowski, (vocals, bass guitar).
Charlie's musical history dates back many years, having performed in several bands, the most notable being Double Eagle. In the 80's Double Eagle toured with such prominent artists as Alabama, Ricky Skaggs, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Conway Twitty and George Strait. They won several MACA (Manitoba Association of Country Artists) awards and were nominated for several CMA and Juno Awards. In 1986 Double Eagle released their album Fire on the Prairie and had several singles released from this album including the #2 national hit “Homegrown”.
Over the years Charlie has developed a prolific song writing skill and Brennans' Bounty plans to record and release a CD of original songs in 2014.
Brennans' Bounty has a genuine love of country music and a serious commitment to three part harmony vocals which they have gained resounding recognition for.
