Gerry “The Big Bear” Barrett

Gerry "The Big Bear" Barrett is one of Canada's favorite Indigenous stand-up comedians and Elvis Tribute Artists.

In 2013 The Big Bear performed comedy and as Elvis in Washington, D.C. for an Inaugural event for President Barack O'bama.

You may have seen Gerry "The Big Bear" on the Comedy Network, CBC-TV, and on the TV show, "The Laughing Drum" on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.

Gerry has performed his Indigenous humour at conferences, comedy clubs and community events across North America. During his  corporate friendly presentation, Gerry shares his life's journey as a 60's Scoop Survivor, foster child and as an adoptee. His show is positive and inspiring. He also talks about the importance of education and achieving your dreams. 

He is also available for workshops and keynote presentations.

Gerry is an Honours graduate from Niagara College and is an award-winning Broadcaster/Writer.

Gerry “The Big Bear” Barrett is a proud Ojibwe from the Saugeen First Nation in Ontario.
