Quinton Blair

Quinton Blair is the genuine article when it comes to honky tonk music. Blair was born and raised in Southern Manitoba, and has been touting his guitar back and forth across the Prairies for the last half decade. Writing and performing self-described “real” country music, Blair is quickly developing a reputation as a stand out song writer and captivating performer. Blurring the lines between roots country, outlaw country and throw back country Blair cuts a wide swath when it comes to country music knowledge and understanding. Inspired by the words of Austin, Tx singer/songwriter Hayes Carll “I bet your tired of dancing to the same old song,” Q and his band are not afraid to play great tunes that are off the beaten track; and you can bet at every show there is a little bit of country music education going on, all the while bringing high energy and great guitar licks to centre stage around great writing and thoughtful arranging of music.

Passionate about the traditions of country music, Q goes much further than name dropping his heroes into his song lyrics, "I try to write a tune they would actually sing". Working with some of the biggest names in Canadian Country Music, Q has shared his brand of capital C Country with thousands of people all across Western Canada.

Wrangling horses is in his blood, and has been a part of the Blair family for generations. From horses to train songs to hurtin’ songs Quinton Blair is sure to infuse your inner red neck, so belly up to the bar, buy a round and listen to some of the best honky tonk music north of Texas.
