Canadian country music from the heart of the prairies — Winnipeg, Manitoba. 2024 MCMA "Group of the Year" and "Album of the Year" award winners, The Sean Taylor Band is a six-piece country band that blends great entertainment with top notch musicianship to kick as much a** as a country band can.
Featuring Greg Dunstan on bass, James Klassen on keys, Sean Taylor Johnston on acoustic guitar and vocals, Juno award winner Jeff Kula on drums, multi-time MCMA guitar player of the year Sean Borton on guitar, and 2022 MCMA Auxiliary Player of the year Blaine Badiuk on fiddle and mandolin.
The Sean Taylor Band has been honoured to play many amazing festivals and events over the last decade, such as Dauphin's Country Fest, Morden Corn and Apple, Norseman Days, Manitoba Ag Days, and countless rodeos. The band is adept at creating just the right setlist for every event
In its 10th year as the Sean Taylor Band, the group continued to build on its live show success. In April 2024, they released their award-winning debut album, which amassed over 100k streams and 1k physical sales.
Early singles such as "Tan Lines", "Rolling Stone", and "Someplace Better Than Here" gained radio play and streaming success across North America. Later singles "Alberta Sunrise" and "Back Roads & Binos" caught the eye of Sirius satellite radio and have been broadcast worldwide. "Cowboy's Last Ride", a band favourite, also received rave reviews from across the continent upon release.
